Learning State has completed the revision of the unit standard above.

The unit standard required amendment as the two industry advisory groups for Learning State's Compliance Qualifications Framework indicated that the standard was not currently accessible to employees throughout the public sector.  The public sector contains the State sector as a subset (ie the State sector and local authority and other public sector employees comprise the public sector).  The unit standard was previously targeted at the State sector only.


Main changes


·      References to 'State sector' were superseded by 'public sector'.

·      Special notes were amended and a range statement was added (under Element 1) to refer to 'the Official Information Act 1982 or the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (Parts 1 to 6)'.


The Registration Criteria for National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Unit Standards have been reviewed and replaced with the Quality assurance criteria for the listing of unit standards on the Directory of Assessment Standards.  The changes made to the criteria during this review reflect the replacement of the NQF and the Register with the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) and the Directory of Assessment Standards, the inclusion of criteria for grades, and changes to terminology and format of unit standards.  The main changes to terminology are that:
