Summary of review and consultation process
On 17 June 2009, the Advisory Group met to discuss the standards and qualification in the Automotive Reglazing domain. This group was comprised of industry, provider, and NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (Inc) representatives. The qualification structure was discussed and amended to reflect current practice in the industry and changes made to the standards since the last qualification review. The reviewed qualification structure was endorsed by the Advisory Group in August 2009.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Decrease in credit total.
· Removal of Elective B.
· Removal and addition of standards in the compulsory section.
· Addition of standards to the elective section.
· Updating of standards following review.

Changes to structure and content
· Credit total decreased from 96 to 77.
· Elective B was removed and the requirement for the new elective section is a minimum of 10 credits.
· Standards 1277, 17593, 20503, 21078, and 21701 were removed from the compulsory section.
· New standards 26034, 26078, 26079, 26080, and 26081 were added to the compulsory section.
· Standard 20497 was moved from Elective A to the compulsory section.
· Standard 22351 was moved from the compulsory to the elective section.
· Standards 2549, 3465, and 3466 were added to the elective section.
· Standards 3877, 20492, and 21673 were removed from Elective A.
· Credit values and levels of standards were updated following review.
Transition
This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.

People currently working towards versions 1 or 2 of this qualification may either complete the requirements of those versions or transfer their results to this version of the qualification. The last date for assessment for version 1 is December 2010 and the last date for assessment for version 2 is December 2012.
