Summary
Learning State has reviewed the above unit standards in response to stakeholder feedback regarding their fitness for purpose.
The review panel, consisting of Statistics New Zealand staff and tertiary education providers, found that the unit standards required updating to ensure they were achievable and fit for purpose.
Main changes
· Titles have been updated to better reflect content.
· Elements and purpose statements have been updated to better reflect content and intended assessment outcomes.
· Unit standards 23268, 23270 and 23271 have had the level increased from 4 to 5 to better reflect required outcomes as recommended by the panel.
· A recommendation of 14 credits at level 1 from the Mathematics domain or equivalent knowledge has been included in all standards.
