The Hairdressing Industry Training Organisation has completed the revision of the unit standard above.

Summary

 

This unit standard was registered in March 2009.  Since that time, moderation feedback has highlighted some instances of over-assessment arising from wording within the unit standard.  As a result, the outcomes and evidence requirements have been reworded and simplified to more accurately reflect industry's intention for this unit standard.

 

The amendments were endorsed by HITO's Qualifications Advisory Committee (QAC) following consultation with its member networks.

 

Main changes

 

·      Old Outcome 3 was moved to become Outcome 1 in order to highlight the application of the knowledge aspect of this unit standard for users.  Other outcomes were renumbered accordingly.

·      New Outcome 2 and its evidence requirements were reworded and simplified for clarity.

·      Purpose statement has been amended in line with the changes to outcomes.
