Revision of Skills Active Aotearoa Limited AMAPs

Skills Active Aotearoa Limited has revised the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plans (AMAP) listed above.

Date new version published                                                             November 2010

The next AMAP review is planned to take place during 2014.

Reason for the revision

A major review of all Skills Active AMAPs (0050, 0058, 0069, 0099, 0102 and 0180) took place in 2009.  A key client has advised Skills Active that Appendix 4 to the master AMAP 0099 (and also the sole appendix to AMAP 0102) omits a key word which significantly changes the interpretation of minimum assessor requirements.

The AMAPs currently refer to outdoor recreation tutors being 'registered with the New Zealand Outdoor Registration Board' whereas they should refer to tutors being 'registered assessors with the New Zealand Outdoor Registration Board.'

Compliance with new requirements

Accreditation requirements will apply with effect from November 2010.

Accredited organisations will be expected to demonstrate compliance with AMAP requirements from January 2011 onwards.
