Transition

Candidates may either complete the requirements of the National Certificate in Electronic Engineering (Level 2) [Ref: 1092] before 31 December 2012 or transfer to the National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 2) [Ref: 0174], which is part of the Electronic Engineering pathway and leads to the National Certificate in Electronic Engineering (Level 3) [Ref: 1093].

The expiring qualification shares the following unit standards in common with the National Certificate in Electronics Technology (Level 2) [Ref: 0240]: 18239, 18240, 18241, 18242, and 18243.  Therefore, people who have been awarded the expiring qualification can use credits for these unit standards to meet the requirements of the National Certificate in Electronics Technology (Level 2) [Ref: 0240].
