Review of Electricity Supply - Power System Maintenance unit standard 21230
This review report was first published in November 2009 and was republished in October 2010 to correct an error in the replacement relationship between standard 21230 and standards 26019 and 26020. Standard 21230 was only replaced by standard 26020, not by a combination of standards 26019 and 26020. Standards 26019 and 26020 have been revised to reflect this replacement relationship - see separate report.

Summary of review and consultation process
This unit standard was reviewed to ensure that it remains relevant to industry. Industry consultation determined that industry practice would be better reflected by replacing the existing unit standard with new unit standards.
Main changes resulting from the review
This unit standard was replaced by one new unit standard. In addition new level 4 and level 6 standards were created in order to staircase trainees from level 4 through to level 6.
The unit standard categorised as category C expires at the end of December 2011.
