Revision of Food and Related Products Processing Qualification
National Certificate in Food and Related Products Processing (Level 2) [Ref: 0342]
Competenz has revised the qualification listed above.
Date new versions published September 2010
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2014.
Reason for the revision
Competenz has been working with the stakeholder food, beverages and related products industry advisory group to develop a qualification pathway for people employed in the food, beverages and related products industry who wish to move into the role of In-house Merchandising in the industry. These people would replenish stock, and visually check stock quality within their particular industry. Also it is important that they understand and demonstrate what is expected of them as a good employee, and understand their worth as an employee within their business. Hence standards from Retail and Distribution Core Skills, Retail Produce, and Work and Study Skills have been added to the elective set.
Main changes resulting from the revision
The elective was broadened to include standards from the Retail and Distribution Core Skills, Retail Produce, and Work and Study Skills domains.
