The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation (ETITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
An industry consultation group involving ETITO and the Department of Corrections was established to undertake the review of some of the unit standards included in the National Certificate in Offender Management (Level 3) [Ref: 0678].
The review was carried out prior to the unit standards' planned review date because feedback from industry indicated changes to the content of the unit standards were required.
These unit standards were updated to ensure that they meet industry requirements, are fit for purpose, and enable consistent assessment.
Main changes
· Unit standard 14636 was designated expiring and will not be replaced as it is no longer required by industry.
· The explanatory notes, outcome statements, and range statements in these unit standards were updated to reflect changes in processes and procedures and to improve the clarity of the evidence requirements.
· The entry information for unit standards 14637, 14639, and 14648 was updated.
The category D unit standard will expire at the end of December 2012.
