Summary

 

Unit standard 17591 was reviewed as a result of the change in terminology used in the health sector from Occupational Overuse Syndrome (OOS) to the prevention and management of Discomfort, Pain and Injury (DPI) in the workplace.  This unit standard was therefore updated to reflect current terminology and practice.  The final version was endorsed by the Industrial Health and Safety Advisory Group in November 2010.

 

Main changes

 

·      The title, outcome statements, explanatory notes, evidence requirements, and range statements were updated.

·      A new outcome statement was added to the unit standard and the credit value increased from 4 to 8.
