Summary

 

This unit standard was reviewed to reflect the current industry requirements.  The major change was to split the unit standard into two new unit standards, one covering alternating current (AC) and the other covering direct current (DC).  The level of the unit standard has been retained in the new unit standards.  The rail industry members were consulted by e mail and in person for this review and the changes were endorsed.

 

Main changes

 

·      Titles, outcomes, evidence requirements and ranges were amended to reflect the split of the unit standard into two new unit standards.

·      Explanatory notes were amended to reflect current industry requirements

 

Category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2013
