Summary

 

This unit standard has been revised as the result of the development of a similar unit standard in the kitchen design sector.  The intent of this unit standard is for chefs to assist the kitchen designer in developing the design brief not to actually design the kitchen.  The title and content of the unit standard has therefore been amended to reflect this intent.  The revision of this unit standard has been agreed with both the Joinery Industry Training Organisation, who represents kitchen designers, and the hospitality industry sector that uses this unit standard.  The amendments were endorsed in December 2010.
