Planned review date                                                                           December 2015

Summary

In May 2010 the Resin Flooring Advisory Group met to discuss the development of new unit standards for their sector.  As a result of that discussion a number of existing flooring unit standards were amended to enable the resin flooring sector to use these standards.  Five new unit standards were also developed specifically for the resin flooring sector.  Input was also received from the timber flooring sector of the industry which resulted in the existing unit standards for this sector being amended from wood flooring to timber flooring.  Changes were made to the unit standards and these were endorsed by the affected sector advisory groups in August 2010.

Main changes

·      Titles were changed to incorporate the resin flooring sector and to amend wood to timber.

·      Unit standard 16995 was replaced by a new unit standard.

·      The credits for unit standards 17008 and 21022 were increased from 12 to 14, and 5 to 8 respectively.

·      Five new unit standards were developed for the resin flooring sector.

The category C unit standard will expire at the end of December 2012
