The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation has extended the expiry dates of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
These unit standards were reviewed as Category C or D in 2009 and designated to expire in December 2011.
At the time, two years was considered ample time for candidates to complete qualifications containing these unit standards. However the review of the National Certificate in Concrete Construction with strands in Sitework, Pre-cast Concrete, and Placing and Finishing [Ref: 0732], which contains these unit standards, took longer than expected to complete and will not be registered until 2011. One year is not considered sufficient time to complete the qualification.
The expiry dates of the unit standards
were extended to December 2013 to allow candidates to complete the expiring
version of qualification [Ref: 0732].
Main changes
· The expiry date for standards 12019, 12025, 12028, 12033, 12034 and 18512 was extended to December 2013.
Impact on registered qualifications
Other qualifications affected by the review of the standards in 2009 are not adversely affected by this extension of the expiry date.
