The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2011.
Reason for the revision
This qualification was revised to replace an expired standard and to extend the planned review date of the qualification to 2011.
Main changes resulting from the revision
Expired standard 9676 was replaced with standard 21335 and the details of reviewed standards were updated.

Changes to structure and content
· The overall credit total of the qualification increased from 52 to 56.
· Expired standard 9676 was replaced with standard 21335.
· The titles of standards 1297, 4238, 10426, 11285, 14547, and 14933 were updated.
· The credit value of standard 1297 was updated from 4 to 5.
· The credit value of standard 9692 was updated from 2 to 4.
Transition
People currently enrolled in programmes leading to the award of version 2 must transfer to version 3 if they do not already hold credit for standard 9676; which has expired. All new learners will be enrolled in programmes leading to the award of version 3.
The last date for assessments to take place for version 2 is 31 December 2011.
This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.
