Reinstatement and Extension of Expiry date for Wood Panel Manufacturing Skills unit standards

The Forest Industries Training and Education Council (FITEC) has completed the reinstatement of the unit standards listed above to extend the last date for assessment from 31 December 2006 to 31 December 2011.

Summary

 

Unit standards 691, 692, 693 and 2443 have been reinstated to allow candidates to complete version 7 of the National Certificate in Wood Panels Manufacturing (Level 4) [Ref: 0254] which expires at the end of December 2011.

 

A unit standard review set these unit standards to expire at the end of 2006.  However version 7 of the qualification has a last date to meet requirements of December 2011.  The mismatch of dates has prevented those people who had not achieved the expiring unit standards from achieving the qualification.  The standards are now being reinstated and their expiry dates extended to match that of the qualification.
