Summary
The Agriculture ITO Water Industry Training advisory group and InfraTrain New Zealand have worked together to review unit standards and qualifications covering the installation of new infrastructure pipes and the planned and reactive maintenance of infrastructure pipes.
The unit standards listed above have been reviewed and new standards developed by a wide range of sector stakeholders including territorial and local authorities.
Main changes
· References to excavation and reinstatement have been removed; these components are the focus of a new qualification and a specifically developed set of unit standards currently under development by InfraTrain New Zealand, due for registration in 2011.
· Credit values have reduced to reflect the removal of the excavation and reinstatement components.
· Standard 25234 was replaced by 27330.
· Standard 24920 has been designated expiring and the newly developed standard 27327 is the recommended alternative.
Category C and D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2016
