Review of Engineering (Electrotechnology) qualification
National Diploma in Engineering (Electrotechnology) (Level 6) [Ref: 1313]
ETITO (The Electroctechnology Industry Training Organisation) has completed a review of the qualification listed above.
Summary of review and consultation process
The New Zealand Diploma in Engineering [Ref: 112950] was developed in 2010 by the New Zealand Board for Engineering Diplomas, of which ETITO is a member. The new qualification, with its partner qualification, the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering Practice to be registered in 2011, means there is no longer a need for the National Diploma in Engineering (Electrotechnology) (Level 6) [Ref: 1313]. Considerable consultation was undertaken in the development of both the new qualifications and the removal of the National Diploma in Engineering (Electrotechnology) (Level 6) [Ref: 1313].
Main changes resulting from the review
The qualification has been designated expiring and will expire 31 December 2014.
