The Hospitality Standards Institute has changed the expiry date of the qualifications and unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

The revision was conducted to extend the last date for assessment of both qualifications.  This is required to allow sufficient time for those candidates following an apprenticeship programme leading to these qualifications to complete the qualifications.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

There were no changes to structure and content

·         The last date for assessment of versions 5 and 6 [Ref: 0556], and versions 4 and 5 [Ref: 0915] was extended to December 2015.

The expiry date for the following Hospitality Standards Institute qualifications has been changed to 31 December 2015.

This qualification contains a standard (2977) that has been designated expiring and replaced by a later standard.  Candidates who wish to be assessed against replaced standard 2977 should do so before it expires in December 2013.  Reverse transition has been included in this qualification to allow candidates to complete the qualification using either the expiring standard or the replacement standard.

 

For the purpose of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the replacement standard are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the expiring standard - see table below.
