The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the qualification listed above.
Date new versions published May 2011
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2015.
Summary of review and consultation process
Between 2008 and 2010, ETITO undertook extensive consultation with industry representatives, the New Zealand Security Association (NZSA), and the Security Industry Training Advisory Board (SITAB).
ETITO invited tertiary education organisations who were current providers, and also those who had delivered programs in the past. Also the industry training advisory board [SITAB] sat on the consultation group and they also have training providers who are part of that organisation with whom they consulted.
During the review, consideration was given to technology and equipment advancements, industry best practice and requirements, and changes in legislation.
The qualification has been endorsed by the consultation group, who were also responsible for distributing it to their stakeholders and wider group for comment and feedback.
