The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation (ETITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

An industry consultation group was established to undertake the review of these unit standards. This group included representatives from ETITO and the Department of Corrections.

The review was carried out prior to the unit standards' planned review date following feedback from industry that indicated changes to the content of the unit standards were required. The review took place at the same time as the review of the National Certificate in Offender Management (Level 3) [Ref: 0678] which includes the reviewed unit standards.

These unit standards were updated by the industry consultation group to ensure that they continue to meet industry requirements, remain fit for purpose, and enable consistent assessment and moderation.

Main changes

· The titles, explanatory notes, outcome statements, evidence requirements, and range statements in each standard were updated to reflect changes in terminology, processes and procedures, and to improve the clarity of the unit standards.

· The credit values and levels of some of the unit standards were amended where the review group considered that existing credit values and levels were inappropriate.
