Revision of ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation CMR

 

The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation (ETITO) has completed the revision of the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) above.

 

Date new version published                                                             October 2011

 

The next CMR review is planned to take place during 2012.

 

Reason for the revision 

 

The CMR was revised to update the industry or sector-specific requirements for the Security subfield (Appendix 4).  Requirements have been added for standards 27360 and 27361 to ensure consistency of training and assessment for managing conflict situations.

 

Compliance with new requirements

 

Requirements for consent to assess will apply with effect from November 2011. 

 

Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from November 2011. 

 

Organisations with consent to assess will be expected to be able to demonstrate compliance with the CMR from May 2011.

Industry or sector-specific requirements for consent to assess for Security subfield

·         Criterion 1 - information added to indicate that, for the delivery of training leading to assessment against unit standards 27360 and 27361, ETITO has produced and will make available training resources for these standards.  Charges may apply.  Organisations that choose to develop their own training resources for managing conflict situations in a security context are encouraged to contact ETITO.

·         Criterion 3 - requirement added to ensure that staff of organisations applying for consent to assess against standards 27360 and 27361 will attend and successfully complete an ETITO recognised training and assessment delivery course and that these staff will also maintain currency by attendance and successful completion of a recognised refresher course every two years.

·         Criterion 7 - information added to indicate that, for assessment against unit standards 27360 and 27361, ETITO has produced and will make available assessment resources for these standards.  Charges may apply.  A requirement was added for organisations that choose to develop their own assessment resources to submit these to ETITO for pre-assessment moderation and approval prior to use.
