Summary

 

As part of the Alignment of Standards review project in 2010, this standard was designated expiring (December 2012).  Since the review of the Level 1 Health Education unit and achievement standards, the sector has requested that the standard be reinstated due to high tertiary usage.  The November review did not identify any issues of duplication with other unit or achievement standards.

 

In addition to the reinstatement, the standard setting responsibility for the standard has been transferred to NZQA Māori Qualifications Services (MQS) as it contains content within their coverage.

 

The review of the standard will take place along with other Kaupapa Hauora standards in 2012.  Moderation and feedback from the sector confirm the standard is fit for purpose.

·      Standard 14235 was revised and reinstated, and standard setting responsibility was transferred to MQS.  The standard was also reclassified from the Health Education domain to the Kaupapa Hauora domain.
