The Forest Industries Training and Education Council (FITEC) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
The review of these unit standards was prompted by their planned review date of 2010.
The unit standards were reviewed to ensure that they remain fit for purpose and relevant to the wood panel manufacturing industry. Industry representatives participated in the review and assessors were asked to feedback about unit standards against which they had assessed.
Main changes
· Unit standard 1849 was expired because of low usage.
· The titles of unit standards 726, 21479 and 21480 were changed to better reflect their main outcomes.
· The credit value of unit standard 23158 was increased and the credit values of unit standards 721, 722 and 24604 were decreased to better reflect the learning and assessment requirements.
· Evidence requirements, explanatory notes, and range statements were amended to clarify meaning, ensure relevance and consistency, and to reflect current industry practices.
The category D unit standard will expire at the end of December 2015
