Summary

 

The advisory group of museum specialists reviewing the museum sector standards and qualification met in May 2010 and determined that a new standard should be developed to recognise the knowledge and skills required of museum archives curators.

 

The Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ) was consulted and their advice and suggestions were incorporated into the new standard.  The draft was endorsed by both the advisory group and ARANZ.
