Revision and rollover of Pharmacy Services unit standards

The Pharmacy Industry Training Organisation has completed the revision and rollover of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

Changes to entry information were required as unit standards 6400 and 6418 in the Core Health domain expire in December 2013 and December 2012 respectively.

 

No consultation was undertaken as the changes related to the registration of new unit standards by other SSBs rather than changes to the content of the unit standards themselves.

 

The unit standards were last reviewed in 2007 and their planned review date was December 2012.  As no industry or moderation feedback that would necessitate a review/revision has been received, and given the last review date as well as the proximity of the planned review date, it was determined that rolling the unit standards over at this time would be appropriate.  Other unit standards due for review in 2012 in the Pharmacy Services domain will be reviewed by 31 December this year.

 

Main changes

 

·         Entry information was amended for both unit standards to remove expiring unit standards (6400 and 6418) and add unit standards 26551, 26552, and 27457 instead.

·         Both unit standards were rolled over.

·         References in explanatory notes were updated.
