Revision of Health, Disability, and Aged Support qualification
National Certificate in Health, Disability, and Aged Support (Core Competencies) (Level 3) [Ref: 1327]
Careerforce, the Community Support Services ITO Limited, has revised the qualification above.
Date new version published July 2012
The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2015.
Reason for the revision
The qualification was revised to clarify the requirements for Elective 3.
Main changes resulting from the revision
The standards specified in Elective 3 were divided into two sets (A and B) to separate the ‘maximum of 10 credits' requirement from the ‘maximum of 6 credits at Level 3' requirement, but the overall requirements for Elective 3 were not changed.

Changes to structure and content
· Elective 3 was divided into Set A and Set B from which candidates may use a maximum of 10 credits.
· Set A consists of all the Level 3 standards listed in Elective 3 from which candidates may use a maximum of 6 credits.
· Set B consists of Level 4 standard 23393 that was listed in Elective 3.
Transition
Candidates currently enrolled in version 5 may complete that version or transfer to version 6.
The qualification contains standards that replaced earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table below.
