The Seafood Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

These unit standards have been reviewed to ensure they meet the current needs of the industry and recognise the knowledge and skills required.  A review group consisting of industry experts, workplace assessors and training provider representatives reviewed the unit standards in June 2012.  Minor amendments were made to make the unit standards current and fit for purpose.  The draft reviewed standards were presented for consultation and the final versions were endorsed.

 

Main changes

 

·      Available grades now all read ‘Achieved' only.

·      All references to the Ministry of Fisheries amended to account for the formation and launch of the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI).

·      The range statement for Outcome 1 of unit standard 23687 was amended to better specify the minimum evidence requirements.
