The Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation (ESITO) has completed the revision of the unit standard listed above.

Summary

 

Unit standard 18028 covers earthing in high voltage (HV) electricity network installations and works.  However, it was brought to the attention of ESITO that several of the range statements referenced low voltage equipment, appliances and installations.  These range statements were therefore amended to reference HV equipment, appliances and installations.

 

Main changes

 

·      Changes made to range statements to ensure only HV equipment, appliances and installations are referenced; and to clarify evidence requirements.

·      Changes made to update explanatory notes.

 

The last date for assessment against version 4 of the standard will be 31 December 2013.
