Revision of Employment Skills qualification

NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has revised the qualification above.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2016.

 

Summary of revision

 

Version 13 of the National Certificate in Employment Skills (NCES) was approved in August 2011 following a revision.  After publication it was brought to NQS's attention that the Electives lacked clarity.  To make the qualification requirements clearer these electives have been updated.

 

Changes to structure and content

• Elective 1 has been renamed Literacy Elective and Elective 2 has been renamed Numeracy Elective.
• The wording for Set 1A and Set 1B has been amended to make it clear from where the standards are to be selected.
