Summary

 

On advice from industry, an advisory group of Traffic and Safety Management and Engineering practitioner's from New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) met with InfraTrain NZ Ltd in June 2011 and determined that a new standard should be developed to recognise the knowledge and skills required of Local Authority, Consultants, and Contractors involved in the design or certification and audit of safety barriers.

 

Industry and NZTA were consulted and their advice and suggestions were incorporated into the new standard.  The standard was endorsed by the advisory group in August 2012.
