Summary
As part of the planned review scheduled over 2010-2011, the Building Service Contractors of New Zealand Incorporated has completed the review of standards in the domains listed above.
The review process followed initial consultation with industry advisory group (IAG) members through emails. IAG members were informed about the review feedback and requested changes to the standards by emails and through the Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) meetings. Formal decisions about the changes to the standards were made at TRoQ meetings. The changes were finally endorsed by the IAG at TRoQ meetings.

· The definition of 'industry practice' has been replaced with 'industry best practice' and has been made consistent across all standards
· The evidence requirement for 'warning signs display' has been made consistent across all standards
· Range statements have been updated on many standards to meet current industry needs
· The level of standard 23967 was increased from 3 to 4
· Titles of standards 1570, 1590, 1593, 1595, 7187, and 11347 were updated
· Two new standards have been written to meet industry needs
· Minor editorial amendments have been made as required, to improve language.
