Service Skills Institute (ServiceIQ) has completed the revision of the unit standard listed above.  The standard has also been rolled over to maintain its currency until it is reviewed.

Summary

 

Feedback from moderation by ServiceIQ indicated that the standard was unachievable in some food costing situations because evidence requirement (ER) 2.2 contained items that would not apply in all food costing situations.

 

The Cookery standards are due to be reviewed in 2014.  Consequently, this standard has had its period of registration extended to align with the review of the Cookery standards.

 

Main changes

 

·      ER 2.2 range stem was amended to read 'may include but is not limited to'.  The range also includes a specified minimum evidence requirement to clarify the assessment conditions and ensure that the standard is achievable for all candidates.

·      Planned review date was extended from 31 December 2013 to 31 December 2014.
