Summary

 

The reviewed standards were circulated to industry experts and representatives of major produce retail enterprises.  It was considered that there was an excess of evidence demanded by some standards, and they should be simplified for the purpose of clearer assessment.  After receiving advice the standards were endorsed by industry as being fit for purpose.

 

Main changes

 

·        Unit standards11996, 15952, 15953, and 15956 were designated expiring without replacement.

·        New unit standard 28108 was developed to better reflect industry requirements previously covered by the expiring standards.

·        The outcomes, and evidence requirements of unit standards 15954, 15955, 15957-15959, 21205, and 21206 were changed for clarification.

·        Outcome 3 was removed from standard 15957.

 

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December 2015.  Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last date for assessment of the superseded version of the standard.

 

Category D unit standards will expire at the end of December 2015
