Summary

 

The seven standards in the expiring Youth Work domain were reclassified into the Youth Development domain.

 

Terminology and references were updated in all eight standards and the planned review date was extended to 2017.

 

Main changes

 

·      The title and sole outcome of standard 7915 were amended to relate directly to what is required of the standard.

·      Three of the eight evidence requirements of standard 7915 were deleted to keep the standard manageable and to focus learner activity and assessment on the outcome.

·      Recommended entry skills and knowledge were added for standards 16849, 16850, 16856, 16857, 16861, 22256 and 22257.

·      The glossary section of standards 16849, 16850 and 16857 were amended to be consistent with standard 22256.

·      Evidence requirements and range statements for standard 16849 were amended to enhance readability and clarity.

·      Outcome 2 of standard 16850 and associated evidence requirements were amended to avoid unnecessary repetition.

·      Range statements and evidence requirements for the outcomes of standard 16856 were amended to enhance readability and clarity.

·      The title of standard 16857 was amended to better reflect the outcomes.

·      The purpose statement of standard 16857 was simplified.

·      The range statement for evidence requirement 1.2 of standard 16857 was amended to be consistent with standard 22256.

·      Evidence requirement 3.3 of standard 16857 was amended to be consistent with standard 22256.

·      Evidence requirements for the outcomes of standard 16861 and associated range statements were amended to enhance clarity.

·      The glossary section of standard 22256 was amended to better align with the reference.

·      The range statement for evidence requirement 1.2 of standard 22256 was amended to be consistent with the evidence requirement.

·      Outcome 1 and the purpose statement of standard 22257 were amended to provide better alignment with the title.

·      The evidence requirements associated with outcome 1 of standard 22257 and range of evidence requirement 1.3 were amended to clarify the focus of this outcome.

·      The definition of sub-culture in the glossary of standard 22257 was amended to future-proof the definition.

·      The explanatory notes and references of all of the standards were updated.

·      Standards 16849, 16850, 16856, 16857, 16861, 22256 and 22257 were reclassified.
