Summary

NZQA Māori Qualifications Services took over standard setting responsibility for this unit standard and reviewed it as part of the MQS planned review cycle, to ensure that it continues to meet industry requirements, and is clear, logical and fit for purpose.

The Whakaruruhau Hauora were unavailable for this review, but were supportive of a panel made up of representatives from two organisations that have consent to assess against this standard (a wānanga and a school) to carry out the review on this standard.  The amendments to the unit standard were fully endorsed by the Whakaruruhau Hauora and organisations that have consent to assess against this unit standard.

Main changes

·      Title amended to better reflect the outcome of the standard.

·      Minor edits and a new definition added to the explanatory notes.
