CMR for Urban Pest Management, and Cleaning and Caretaking [Ref: 0004]

 

Transfer of responsibility for and Revision of Building Service Contractors Industry Training Organisation's CMR

 

Careerforce, the Community Support Services ITO Ltd, has completed the transfer of responsibility for and revision of the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR) above.

The next CMR review is planned to take place during 2014.

 

Summary of revision

 

Coverage for the unit standards in the following domains was transferred to Careerforce from the Building Service Contractors Industry Training Organisation (BSCITO) in December 2012:

The CMR was revised to reflect this change in standard setting responsibility, to match the systems described in the CMR with the structures of the new SSB, and to clarify identified ambiguities.

 

Some minor amendments were also made to align the requirements of CMR 0004 with those in Careerforce's other CMRs.

 

Compliance with new requirements

 

Requirements for consent to assess will apply with effect from July 2013.

 

Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from July 2013.

 

Organisations with consent to assess will be expected to be able to demonstrate compliance with the CMR from January 2014 onwards.

·        The terms 'trainees' and 'students' were changed to 'learners'.

·        Criterion 3 - qualifications required of teaching staff and assessing staff were amended.

·        Criterion 8 - the requirements were removed.

 

Moderation Requirements (MR)

 

Moderation System

·        Minor editorial amendments were made to the moderation system to align with the new SSB's terminology.

·        The fee for pre-assessment moderation was removed.

 

Non-compliance with moderation requirements

·        Minor editorial amendments were made to align with the new SSB's systems and organisational structure.

 

Appeals

·        Minor editorial amendments were made to align with the new SSB's systems.
