Date new versions published                                                          May 2013

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2013.

Reason for the revision and main changes

These qualifications are due for review under the TROQ process in 2013.  However, the qualifications include two standards that have had an increase in credits, and one standard that has increased in level.  All three standards are in the compulsory sections and affect the credit total of the qualifications.  This revision is designed to keep the qualifications current until their scheduled review in 2013.

People currently working towards version 2 of these qualifications may either complete that version or transfer their results to version 3.  The last date for assessments to take place for version 2 is December 2014.

It is anticipated that no existing candidates will be disadvantaged by these transition arrangements.  However, anyone who feels that they have been disadvantaged may appeal to the New Zealand Industry Training Organisation (NZITO) at the address below.  Appeals will be considered on a case by case basis.
