Summary of review and consultation process

These qualifications were reviewed as all unit standards in the existing qualifications are designated expiring as a result of the achievement standards alignment project (NZ Curriculum Review).

Main changes resulting from the review

The National Certificate in Design (Introductory Skills) (Level 2) [Ref: 0461] and the National Certificate in Design (Level 3) [Ref: 0462] have been designating as expiring without replacement.  The last date for assessment to award these qualifications is 31 December 2014, as this is the date that the unit standards contained within the qualification expire meaning the qualification will no longer be achievable.
