Summary of review and consultation process
MITO undertook an analysis of all of its qualifications to ensure that they continued to be achievable while the mandatory reviews of each industry sector were underway. During this analysis it was discovered that this qualification was unachievable due to a number of the standards having been designated as expired or expiring.
Discussions with industry confirmed that this qualification is not fit for purpose. It has never been used or awarded by industry or any training providers. As a result, it has been designated as expiring without replacement.
Main changes resulting from the review
The following qualification has been designated expiring without replacement. The last date to meet the requirements is 31 December 2014 at which time the qualification will be designated discontinued.
