has extended the expiry dates of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
These unit standards were reviewed in 2011 in order to remove overlap in
the area of plant pest, weed, and disease control, i.e. the 'harmonisation' of
unit standards.
The unit standards were designated to expire in December
2013.
It was intended that the Agriculture
and Horticulture qualifications affected by the expiry of these standards
would be reviewed and the expiring standards replaced by December 2013. However,
it is likely that the qualifications will remain in use until at least the end
of 2014.
As a result, the Primary ITO has extended the expiry date of the
standards to December 2015 to ensure that the affected qualifications remain
achievable until the mandatory review of Agriculture
and Horticulture qualifications has been completed.
