Summary

In 2011 the standard setting responsibilities for the unit standards in Domain: Generic Design were transferred from InfraTrain to NZQA National Qualifications Services.

The standards are due for review in 2013 and 2014 and the mandatory review of Creative Arts qualifications (including Design) is occurring in 2013.  The flow-on effects of the mandatory review on the standards is unknown so it was proposed that the standards should be rolled over and reviewed in 2016.

Education organisations, that have reported results in the past five years, were consulted on the standards and provided feedback.

Main changes

·       Explanatory notes of several standards have been updated to ensure consistency with current practice.

·       Evidence requirements and ranges in standards 2100 and 15730 have been updated to ensure consistency with current practice.
