Communications and Media Industry Training Organisation (CMITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Unit standards 10912 and 10913 were reviewed following on from the Fibreboard Packaging sector review completed in 2012. It was agreed that these two unit standards still meet the requirements of industry and that only minor changes were needed to bring them into line with latest wording styles. These unit standards were considered by representatives of the carton sector of the fibreboard packaging industry.
Unit standards 24514 and 24515 were considered by representatives from a range of printing companies. It was agreed that due to changes in technology some of the practical assessment content was unable to be achieved, and as a result these unit standards should expire and be replaced with a single new unit standard.
Unit standard 28075 was developed to cover the production of pdf files for online and screen display.
Main changes
· Unit standards 24514 and 24515 were designated expiring, and replaced by new unit standard 28074.
· Unit standard 28075 was developed to cover skills and knowledge for pdf files.
· Unit standard 10912 and 10913 was classified in the Fibreboard Packaging Production domain, changes were made to titles and explanatory notes, and evidence requirements were updated for clarification purposes.
Category C unit standards will expire at the end of December 2016
