Summary
These unit standards were reviewed as category C and D as part of the development of the New Zealand Certificate in Fitness (Group Fitness), which occurred prior to the Targeted Review of Qualifications. It is now necessary to extend the expiry date of these unit standards to prevent the possibility of education providers and students being disadvantaged by the outcome of the mandatory review and any subsequent development of new qualifications to replace the National Certificate in Fitness (Group Fitness Instruction) (Level 3) [Ref: 1319] and National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (Aquatics) (Level 3) with strands in Pool Lifeguard, Swim Education and Pool Operations [Ref: 1697].
