Summary of review and consultation process
The Museum Practice qualification has been reviewed as part of the Targeted Review of Qualifications (TRoQ) process. The mandatory review involved consultation with stakeholders concerning the need to review the qualification, and subsequently regarding the proposed content of the qualification.
Industry confirmed the need for qualification in this area, and fully endorsed the changes.
The existing national qualification has been replaced by a New Zealand qualification, as detailed below.
