Revision of Employment Relations qualification

NZQA National Qualifications Services has revised the qualification above.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2015.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification was revised to maintain its achievability following the transfer of unit standards from the domain Workplace Relations to the new domain Employment Relations.  The latter domain was added to the elective section of the qualification to continue to allow the unit standards that were transferred to be available in the elective section of the qualification.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Domain Workplace Relations was added to the elective section of the qualification.

Existing candidates may continue working towards version 1 or may transfer to version 2 of this qualification.

 

This qualification contains a standard that replaces an earlier standard.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for the expired standard are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standard – see table below.

This qualification contains a classification that replaced an earlier classification.  For the purposes of this qualification, people who have gained credit for standards in the expiring classification may continue to use those credits to meet the qualification requirements.
