Extension of expiry date for Beauty Therapy unit standards

The NZ Hairdressing Industry Training Organisation (HITO) extended the expiry date for the unit standards listed above.

Summary

 

These unit standards were reviewed and designated expiring in 2011 and 2012 with an expiry date of December 2014.

 

It was intended that the qualifications affected by the expiry of these standards would be reviewed and the expiring standards replaced.  However, due to the mandatory review that is underway in this industry sector, the affected qualifications will now remain in use until the mandatory reviews are completed and the new qualifications and programmes are available.

 

As a result, HITO has extended the expiry date of these standards to 31 December 2016 to ensure that the affected qualifications remain achievable until the mandatory review of the qualifications has been completed.
