NZQA National Qualifications Services has extended the expiry date of the unit standards listed above.

Summary
Following a recommendation from an October 2013 meeting of representatives from the Secondary Principals’ Association of NZ (SPANZ), the Post Primary Teachers’ Association, the New Zealand Secondary Principals’ Council, Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu, New Zealand School Trustees Association, and Universities New Zealand, both the Ministry of Education and NZQA agreed to extend the expiry date of the above unit standards until December 2016.
This is to allow schools further time to change and embed teaching programmes leading towards level one Science achievement standards with support from the Ministry of Education.
Feedback from SPANZ consultation with their membership indicated that the majority of principals support an extension of expiry date for the unit standards.
