The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO) has completed the reinstatement and change of expiry date of the unit standard listed above.

Summary

 

The Joinery Industry Training Organisation previously had responsibility for unit standard 23910, but this has now been transferred to BCITO.

 

While the Joinery Industry Training Organisation was responsible for the standard a review of design unit standards, published in June 2011, designated unit standard 23910 as category C, to be replaced by unit standard 27278.  The expiry date was 31 December 2012.  The unit standard has now expired and can no longer be achieved.

 

However, unit standard 23910 is a compulsory standard in the National Certificate in Joinery with strands in Kitchen Manufacturing, and Kitchen Installation [Ref: 1484].  The standard was reinstated with an expiring status and the expiry date changed to December 2018 to allow trainees to complete this qualification.

Unit standard 23910 was reinstated with an expiring status and the expiry date was changed from 31 December 2012 to 31 December 2018.

None.

 

No new extensions of consent to assess to standard 23910 will be granted during the extended period of expiry.
