The Motor Industry Training Organisation (Inc) (MITO) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Date new versions published 16 April 2015

Planned review date 31 December 2019

Summary

MITO’s Passenger Service Working Group considered the content of these unit standards in conjunction with the development of the new New Zealand qualification for passenger service. The draft unit standards were made publicly available for wider industry consultation, which included tertiary education organisations, throughout August 2014.

The review of these standards has re-aligned the level and credit values to ensure they reflect the NZQA level descriptors, the time required for learning, practice, and assessment to take place; and to ensure they accord rationally with the Graduate Profile outcomes in the New Zealand qualifications.

The Working Group has endorsed the changes made to the standards, and the proposed levels and credits were included within the industry-wide qualification consultation that took place in August 2014.

The last date for assessment of superseded versions of these standards is 31 December 2019. Results will not be accepted where the assessment date is after the last
